Latina Data Center
Elevating the Latina Experience
HOPE conducts nonpartisan research and develops data-driven policy insights that illuminate the economic and leadership contributions of Latinas and the broader impacts of economic participation and shared prosperity. Our work provides policymakers, business leaders, and communities with a clearer understanding of how expanding opportunity benefits the entire nation.
Here are some of the impacts of HOPE’s research:
- Findings supported the creation of the California State Legislature’s Unseen Latinas Initiative, designed to strengthen data collection and identify solutions that improve economic mobility, leadership pathways, and educational attainment.
- HOPE has presented findings on the economic status of Latinas in briefings with the California State Legislature, the California Governor’s Economic Forum, and the New York Latino Legislative Caucus, contributing to informed, evidence-based discussions.
- Data on Latina representation has helped highlight qualified candidates for board and commission appointments at the federal, state, and local levels, contributing to a public sector that better reflects the communities it serves.
- HOPE’s reports have shaped national conversations in major media outlets, providing reliable information that deepens understanding of workforce and leadership trends across all communities.

Economic Opportunity and Shared Prosperity
Across the nation, Latinas are driving progress in business, education, and civic life, contributing to stronger economies and more resilient communities. HOPE’s flagship research on the Economic Status of Latinas highlights their growing impact as a vital force in the nation’s workforce, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Civic Engagement and Leadership
HOPE’s research examines how Latina leadership strengthens civic participation and progress across the nation. Through data and programs, we track how leaders expand their networks, build civic knowledge, and take action on priorities that benefit all communities. By identifying challenges and opportunities in civic engagement, HOPE’s work helps foster a more informed and participatory democracy that serves all Americans.

Health and Wellbeing
Improving access to quality, affordable healthcare is essential to the wellbeing of every community. Through research and data analysis, HOPE examines factors influencing health outcomes, access to care, and workforce representation among Latinas. By analyzing these trends, we provide data and recommendations that inform policies and programs to improve access and health outcomes for all communities.

Community Perspectives and Public Dialogue
HOPE conducts research and community polling to better understand the lived experiences and priorities of Californians. In partnership with local organizations, our work provides data that informs public discussions and policymaking to strengthen opportunity and participation across regions.
