Where HOPE Works
At HOPE, we are committed to empowering communities through leadership development, education, research, and advocacy. Our work spans across the United States, with a strong presence in California, New York, and Texas. Below are the key areas where we make an impact.

National Impact
HOPE fosters leadership and community impact across California, New York, and Texas—centering the Latina experience while welcoming all who support inclusive civic leadership. The HOPE Binational Fellowship connects community leaders across the U.S.–Mexico border to foster collaborative leadership rooted in shared values, cultural strengths, and mutual respect. While the HOPE College Leadership Program offers a hybrid model to train emerging leaders nationwide. Our upcoming National Economic Status of Latinas Report and public opinions polls like the Latina Pulse provide crucial insights into the challenges and opportunities facing Latinas across the country. Virtual events like HOPE Hour and livestreams of our signature events allow Latinas everywhere to engage with our work.

California
HOPE is headquartered in California, where we lead transformative efforts to empower community members through major conferences, leadership programs and research. Our flagship events such as Latina History Day, Latina Action Day, and Latina Empowerment Day, bring together aspiring and established leaders with shared goals in advocacy, civic engagement, and leadership development. Statewide Leadership programs like the HOPE Leadership Institute and HOPE Youth Leadership Program empower civic leaders ready to create change. With our Regional Institutes, we are building local hubs of leadership and advocacy in key regions, including Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, and more. Our research, including the Economic Status of Latinas Report and Equity in Health for Latinas and Black Women reports, shape public discourse and policies that advance Latinas, and our Advocacy drives legislation to improve opportunities statewide.

New York
In New York, programs like Latina History Day NY and our Mid-Career Advancement initiatives celebrate leadership rooted in Latina experience and encourage broader participation in civic life and career pathways. Since 2022, HOPE’s Latina History Day NY has celebrated the achievements of Latinas with the support of the New York State Legislature and Governor Kathy Hochul, bringing recognition to the vital contributions of Latinas across the state. Our Mid-Career Advancement Program helps professionals elevate their careers by providing leadership development and access to a network of supportive peers. Our Latina Representation in New York Government Report and Economic Status of Latinas Report for New York highlight the growing influence and opportunities for Latinas in the state, providing a foundation for continued advancement.

Texas
In Texas, HOPE, in partnership with alumnae, offers training and convenings nurturing career and civic leadership grounded in community values. In 2023, HOPE hosted the inaugural Latina Empowerment Day Texas, providing workshops and networking opportunities to help Latinas develop leadership skills and connect with industry leaders. Looking ahead to 2025, HOPE will expand its impact with a statewide Latina Leaders Summit in San Antonio and the launch of the Economic Status of Latinas Fact Sheet for Texas. These initiatives will equip communities with the tools and connections needed to excel, while providing key decision-makers with crucial data to create policies centered on the Latina experience.
